Geraldine Wiefling
Geraldine Colleen Wylie Wiefling, 87, of Butler, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home.
Born June 15, 1938, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Bartley Joseph Wylie and Madeline Elder Wylie-Rutkowski.
Geraldine worked in the accounts payable department for Koppers. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman. Geraldine was a wife, mother, farmer, artist and weaver. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, weaving, jewelry, poetry, writing, history, gardening and her animals. She especially loved her Wishing Well Farm.
Surviving are three sons, Brian (Laurie) Wiefling of Butler, Robert (Lorri) Wiefling of Butler and Bradley Wiefling of Butler; her daughter, Bridgette (Mark) Wiefling of Freeport; “sister”-in-law, Phyllis Ann Wylie of Renfrew; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald D. Wiefling, who died March 14, 2019; and one brother, James Bartley Wylie.
WIEFLING — Friends of Geraldine Colleen Wylie Wiefling, who died Saturday, June 28, 2025, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg.
Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday, July 3, at St. Mary's Church in Herman with Fr. Ward Stakem, OFM Cap., officiating.
