Nancy Jane Oesterling, 94, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Concordia at the Orchard in Butler.

She was born Feb. 2, 1931, in West Sunbury, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Vedrih) Pensy.

Nancy was a devoted member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church for 65 years before becoming a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in West Sunbury. She was a proud supporter of Shriners Hospitals and numerous other charities. Nancy loved playing bingo and cards and was always eager to help others, especially during her time living at Concordia.

She is survived by her two sons, John Joseph “Jody” (Sherri Reges) Oesterling of Leeper, and Michael (Gina) Oesterling of Altoona; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Robert Oesterling, whom she married June 23, 1951, and who passed away July 11, 2000; her son, Glenn Robert “Glenny” Oesterling Jr.; as well as two sisters and six brothers.

OESTERLING — Friends of Nancy Jane Oesterling, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2025, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at St. Faustina Parish, St. Louis Church, 202 W. State St., West Sunbury, with Father Adam Verona officiating.

Interment will follow in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
