Butler is one win away from the Pa. Little League sectionals.

The 12U major division all-star team beat Franklin 5-3 Thursday, in Franklin, in the first game of the District 25 championship series. It is a best-of-three series.

Brandt Reeder put Butler ahead 2-1 with a single in the second inning, and Sage Seezox hit a solo home run an inning later. Reeder finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Seezox also threw six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits. He struck out five.

Game 2 of the series is set for Butler at Meridian’s baseball complex.
