John Michael “Johnnymike” Smith, 61, formerly of Prospect, died Friday, June 20, 2025, at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh after an illness.

He was born in Butler and was the son of the late John B. and Charmiann Sarver Smith.

He had worked as a truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an avid hunter, loved his pets and Harley-Davidsons.

Survivors include his mother, Charmiann Kononchuk; and his sister, Barb Clyde.

SMITH — There will be no public visitation and services will be private for John Michael “Johnnymike” Smith, who died Friday June 20, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
