Norma Lucille Rodgers, 87 of West Liberty, passed away at Quality Life Services — Grove City on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Norma was born on March 20, 1938, in Worth Township, Butler County, to William Cornelius Sr. and Nellie Alice Stephenson Cornelius.

She married Carl Stanley Rodgers Jr. and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2022. She graduated from Slippery Rock High School. Norma and Carl were inseparable.

She loved life, being together and spending time with friends in their community. Norma was lots of fun, and enjoyed flowers and collecting knickknacks. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.

Survivors include her good friend, Gloria Bowser of Grove City; sister, Thelma Slater of St. Paul, Minn.; numerous cousins; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Harry V. Cornelius and William E. Cornelius Jr.; sisters, Bertha M. Durnell and Laura Smith, and infant sister, Kathryn Jean.

RODGERS — Family and friends of Norma Lucille Rodgers, who died Sunday, June 22, 2025, are invited to gather from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

A celebration of life service for Norma will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at the funeral home, by the Rev. Jeff Curtis, pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be beside her husband, Carl, at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
