Norma Cuffman
Norma Jean (Allen) Cuffman, a lifelong resident of Butler, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 90. She was the loving wife of the late Donald L. Cuffman Sr., and the beloved mother of the late Donald L. Cuffman Jr. (Joanne), Pamela Schmidt, and the late Daniel Cuffman (Lollie).
She was born on Oct. 30, 1934. She was the daughter of Gideon and Anna Allen and was one of 11 children. She told fun and entertaining stories of growing up on the family farm with her brothers and sisters.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Norma was a small-business owner, having established and operated her own custom drapery business, allowing her to bring her meticulously crafted and personally designed creations into the Butler community that she so loved.
She enjoyed teaching family and friends to make her famous nut roll. When she wasn’t cooking or baking, you could find her golfing and walking. Norma was instrumental in fundraising for the Imaging Center at Butler Memorial Hospital through the Women’s Golf League at Armco Country Club. She was a devout member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder for many years.
She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She will be missed and remembered dearly by her family, friends and community.
