Gary Dean Young, 87, of Hilliards, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Grove Manor nursing center.

Born in Sharon, Pa. on Feb. 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Lee E. and Vivian Young.

Gary was a 1957 graduate of the former Concord High School.

He worked for over 40 years at Castle Rubber in Butler.

Gary served his country in the Army Reserve. He attended Ridgeville United Methodist Church.

He was married to the former Shirley May Timblin, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by a son, Ronald Dean Young; a stepson, Donald Eugene Timblin (Kimberly); five grandchildren, Grant, Travis, Brandon, Kenzie and Amber; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald E. Young (Andrea).

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Connie Emery and Ethel Slaughenhaupt.

YOUNG — Funeral arrangements for Gary Dean Young, 87, who died Sunday, June 22, 2025, were entrusted to BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Eau Claire, where family and friends will be received for a private family viewing and funeral.

Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Ridgeville.
