Upcoming: East Butler Baseball Association memorial event, PA hunting licenses go on sale

Some upcoming dates to know:

Sunday: tribute for former youth baseball players

The East Butler Baseball Association will hold a memorial tribute 1 p.m. Sunday at East Butler Sports Complex for John Houston, Bob Williamson and Mark Nagle, integral members of EBBA who helped grow the association. The families of Houston, Williamson and Nagle will be in attendance.

Current and former EBBA members since 1952 are invited to attend, as is the public. Dess Schnur and Drew Mooney will be keynote speakers.

Monday: hunting, trapping licenses on sale

Licenses for the 2025-26 hunting and trapping seasons will go on sale Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Residents can purchase single-use antlerless licenses in all wildlife management units in the state through July 13. Nonresidents can purchase any unsold licenses beginning the next day.

Hunters can have up to six licenses in most WMUs.
