John Olszak

John S. Olszak, 88, of East Brady, died Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Born Jan. 20, 1937, in Yellow Dog (West Franklin Township), he was the son of Andrew J. and Pearl (Sobczak) Olszak.

John began his career at the RexHide in East Brady, where he was employed for 20 years, then was the owner and operator of Olszak’s Garage from 1974 to 1999.

John was an avid outdoorsman who could often be found biking, hunting and spending time with his bird dogs.

Surviving is his wife, Carolyn E. Olszak of East Brady. Also surviving are nine children, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

OLSZAK — A Mass of Christian burial for John S. Olszak, who died Sunday, June 15, 2025, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at St. Eusebius Church with the Rev. Alan Grote officiating.

Private burial will follow in Union First Presbyterian Cemetery, Cowansville.

Arrangements are under the direction of BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.

The Olszak family asks that memorials be made in John’s name to St. Eusebius Church, 301 E. 2nd St., East Brady, PA 16028.
