Southeastern Butler County under flash flood warning through 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh has extended a flash flood warning for southeastern Butler County and northeastern Allegheny County until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.
According to NWS, heavy rain was reported, with between 1 and 3 inches of rain having fallen by 3:45 p.m.
Earlier in the day, the radar detected thunderstorms producing heavy rain over Gibsonia and moving northeast through Butler County. The expected rainfall rate was 0.5 to 1.5 inches every hour.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area, the service said in a bulletin.
