Charles Reep
Charles A. Reep, 87, of Butler, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler on April 13, 1938, he was a son of the late Charles William Reep Jr. and Sarah Belle Patten Reep Kregar.
Chuck was a member of Local 12 of the Sheet Metal Workers union. He also worked at Home Depot.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Chuck was also a leader of Cub Scouts Pack 6 of Moraine Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma J. Miller Reep, whom he married May 12, 1960; two sons, John Reep, of Butler, and Dennis Reep and his wife, Karen, of Butler; two sisters, Carol Kregar, of Spring Hope, N.C., and Virginia “Ginger” Crocker and her husband, Don, of Spring Hope, N.C.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Crystal Keene and her husband, Travis, Brian Beals and his wife, Rachel, Brandon Reep and his wife, Ashley, Cody Reep, Trevor Reep, Abby Reep, Austin Reep, Garrett Paule and Ella Paule; five great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Finnigan, Addison, Emilia and Jaxon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lou Ann Reep Beals, who passed away Aug. 14, 2014; one brother, William Reep; and one sister, Mildred “Millie” Ombros.
REEP — Friends of Charles A. Reep, who died Saturday, June 14, 2025, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, in MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, South Side, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
