Eugene Isacco

Isacco

Eugene J. “Gene” Isacco, 90, of Boyers, went home to his Heavenly Father the morning of Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Gene was born on June 5, 1935, to Andy and Lucy (Campana) Isacco. Gene attended Youngstown State University and Grove City College on baseball and track scholarships and graduated as a mechanical engineer. He went on to be a highly respected electrical engineer with an exciting and successful career. He was a Field Trial Champion with his bird dogs and horses, and later became a Field Trial Judge.

Gene’s vocational success enabled him to accomplish his childhood dream of buying the farm he grew up working on. He lived his life loving God and loving his family, developing his farm into a beautiful home where he could raise his family, train bird dogs and enjoy his horses. Gene enjoyed reading, art, gospel music, theater and sports.

Gene was a dear, kind man, devoted to his wife, Jonette; was a loving and caring stepfather to Curt Gearhart and Charlene Gearhart; proud grandfather of Kaylee Gearhart; beloved brother to Emma Anderson; and uncle to many nieces, nephews, greats and great-greats.

Gene was preceded in death by his adored parents, Andy and Lucy (Campana) Isacco; four brothers, Louis, Tony, John and Patsy; and three sisters, Angeline Dematteis, Julia Bonetti, and Anna Duronio.
