“Big Beautiful Bill” neglects the needs of the people

I am writing to express my strong objection to Rep. Mike Kelly’s support of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. This piece of legislation, in my view, poses a significant threat to our community and undermines the principles we stand for.

Firstly, the bill lacks comprehensive consideration of the environmental impact it will have. In an age where climate change is a pressing issue, it is irresponsible to support legislation that could exacerbate environmental degradation.

Secondly, the bill appears to favor corporate interests over those of ordinary citizens. By prioritizing large-scale developments and massive infrastructure projects, it neglects the needs of small businesses and local communities that are the backbone of our economy. It is a tax break for the rich.

Moreover, the bill dismisses the concerns raised by experts in urban planning and public health. Their insights suggest that proposed changes could lead to overcrowding and strain on public services, ultimately diminishing the quality of life for senior residents.

In conclusion, I urge Kelly to reconsider his stance on the “Big Beautiful Bill” and to prioritize the well-being of our community over the interests of a few powerful entities. It is crucial that we advocate for legislation that is sustainable, equitable and reflective of the values we cherish.
