Butler County awarded $80K in state housing funds
Butler County will receive $80,000 through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement fund to support first-time homebuyers, according to a Thursday news release.
The funding will go toward the county’s First Time Home Buyer Down Payment Closing Cost Assistance Program, which offers a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $5,000 to help eligible buyers cover down payments or closing costs on a new home in the county.
Multiple applicants in neighboring Beaver and Lawrence counties also received portions of the $2.48 million awarded.
