NAMI Butler County, Hobnob Theatre Co. to host improv event
“A day without laughter is a day wasted” — a proverb attributed to actor Charlie Chaplin — is serving as inspiration behind an event in Butler this weekend.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness and Hobnob Theatre Company are hosting an evening of improv at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the theater’s location at 134 S. Main St. in Butler.
The family-friendly event will give attendees a chance to participate in the improv or to just enjoy the show. Donations will be accepted at the door.
“Laughter really is the best medicine,” the event’s flyer reads. “It has positive effects on both our physical and mental health. It helps us manage the stresses of daily life, helps to boost our mood, and creates a sense of community and belonging when we share a laugh together.”
To attend, call 724-431-0069 and leave a message with a name, phone number and number of people attending; or email info@namibutler.org.
