It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Rosemary “Rosie” Ann McGinnis on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Pa.

Rosie was a devoted wife to Richard E. McGinnis for over 25 cherished years, a loving mother to six children and a proud Nana to 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved German shepherd, Star, and two horses, Patches and Shadow. Rosie is also survived by her mother and sister.

Rosie lived a life filled with love, kindness and resilience. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures — whether it was baking or cooking for her family, camping, engaging in her crafting projects, hosting lively cookouts, horseback riding or tending to her garden. Her heart was most whole during video calls with her grandchildren, whose innocence, laughter and imaginative stories brought her genuine happiness.

Those fortunate enough to know Rosie will remember her for her strength, thoughtful nature and pure heart. She was hardworking and generous, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear; she shared her love selflessly with everyone around her.

Rosie’s love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on all our lives. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lindsey Amsler.

MCGINNIS — Family and friends of Rosemary “Rosie” Ann McGinnis, who died Sunday, June 8, 2025, are invited to share in the remembrance of her at BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12, and from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow at St. Petersburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Rosie’s memory to the St. Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department, 781 E. Main St., St. Petersburg, PA 16054.
