Richard Cancilla
Richard C. Cancilla, 82, of Connoquenessing Township, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Born Aug. 23, 1942, in West View, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Fiore) Cancilla.
Rich proudly served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Church, in Cranberry Township. He loved to volunteer and serve his community, especially through his work at the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also belonged to the American Legion and VFW.
An avid outdoorsman, Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golfing and traveling. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Rich leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Janice (Sauers), whom he married July 1, 1970; his sons, Doug and Daniel; his brothers, Fred, Mike, Ronnie and Bob; his sisters, Mary, Keitha, Pat and Donna; and his large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason; and his brothers, Jim and Tom.
CANCILLA — Friends and family of Richard C. Cancilla, who died Sunday, June 8, 2025, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the funeral home.
Rich will be laid to rest with full military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens.
