Edith Carol Kopp

Edith Carol Durschinger Kopp, 84, of Connoquenessing Township, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2025, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless.

Born in Pittsburgh on May 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Edith C. Kirsopp Durschinger.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

Edith Carol married David W. Kopp on Jan. 2, 1965. They celebrated 60 years of marriage.

She enjoyed baking and had worked at the Giant Eagle bakery for 15 years as a cake decorator.

Edith Carol also worked for Mellon Bank as a bookkeeper.

Beside taking care of her family, she enjoyed reading and working sudoku puzzles.

Edith Carol is survived by her husband, David Kopp; one daughter, Kim (Gary) Frye of Evans City; one son, David W. (Jodi) Kopp Jr. of Alaska; two sisters, Ruth Mast of Pittsburgh and Joyce (Charles) Hall of Georgia; four grandchildren, Matthew and Kayla Kopp and Ashley and Noah Frye; and one great-grandson, Ashton Gay.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.

KOPP — Friends and relatives of Edith Carol Durschinger Kopp, who died Saturday, June 7, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest in Mount Nebo Cemetery, Prospect.
