Ebert named state executive director

The Trump administration has appointed Richard Ebert as the new state executive director for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Pennsylvania.

Ebert, a farmer from Blairsville who owns a farm operation of beef cattle, sheep and vegetables, served as president of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau from 2014 through 2022. He also served on the American Farm Bureau board of directors from 2018 through 2022.

As state executive director, Ebert is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Farm Service Agency programs to agricultural producers in Pennsylvania.

The Farm Service Agency helps America’s farmers, ranchers and forest landowners protect and expand their agricultural operations through agricultural programs.
