A. Ray Farringer
A. Ray Farringer, 101, of Mars passed away Friday evening, June 6, 2025, at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars, a few weeks from his 102nd birthday, with his family at his side.
Born July 2, 1923, in Franklin, Pa., he was the son of the late Irwin and Agnes Shunk Farringer.
He had served in the United States Army Air Corps during W.W. II and was a member of Mars V.F.W. Post 7505.
Ray was a structural layout man for American Bridge, Dravo, Howard Patterson and Woodwards.
He was a founding member of the Mars Rod and Gun Club and was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Yoakum of Mars; his son, James Farringer (Terri) of Blawnox; his grandchildren, Robert “Rob” Fester, Jonathan James “J.J.” Farringer; and his great-grandchildren, Josselyn, Alex, Kaitlyn, Colton and Lance; a sister, Maxine Kersey of Valencia; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Mae Shaner Farringer, whom he married June 12, 1943, and who died April 20, 2015; and by his siblings, Richard “Dick” Farringer, Irwin Farringer Jr. and Roberta Winner.
FARRINGER — Friends of A. Ray Farringer, who died Friday, June 6, 2025, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.
Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
