Prospective students interested in pursuing health care professions can examine programs and apply to Butler County Community College during upcoming information sessions.

Sessions are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. June 11, July 15 and Aug. 12 in the Victor K. Phillips Nursing and Allied Health Building.

Prospective students can register to attend an information session at apply.bc3.edu/upcoming-events. The college will waive its $25 admissions fee for prospective students who apply at an information session.

Prospective students can meet with BC3 administrators and program coordinators and tour the 25,000-square-foot Phillips facility that features simulated intensive care-unit and patient rooms and skills laboratories.

The Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health is one of five BC3 academic divisions and, as of January, enrolled nearly one in three credential-seeking students.

The Shaffer school will showcase associate-degree career programs in registered nursing and physical therapist assistant; and certificate programs in practical nursing, medical coding and billing specialist.

Prospective students can also learn at an information session about BC3 workforce development programs in emergency medical technician, basic life support, phlebotomy and personal care home administrator.

Workforce development administrators will be available to discuss funding for high-priority occupations such as emergency medical technician and phlebotomist, and for other programs.

Prospective students can apply for fall 2025 consideration in physical therapist assistant and massage therapy through Aug. 15.

Applications for spring 2026 consideration in practical nursing are now being accepted through Aug. 30.

General applications for fall 2026 consideration in registered nursing can be completed from Aug. 1 to Dec. 1.

BC3’s fall semester begins Aug. 25.
