Donald R. Vasko, 90, of Harmony, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, while under the care of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Oct. 31, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Michael Vasko and Mary Hoblack Vasko.

Don was a member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He retired at age 55 as an electrical designer and, afterward, Don owned Arrow Wood Pines Farms. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of Cranberry Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 879. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 53 years, Eleanor Haney Vasko, whom he married Feb. 14, 1972; his four daughters, Linda Ernhardt of Renfrew, Kathleen (Eugene) Magerl of Harmony, Joan Reese of Harmony and Laurie (Michael) Thomas of Pittsburgh; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Marlene Renn of Florida and Jean Melko of Penn Hills.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Vasko; and two grandchildren, Bekki Reese and Donald Reese.

VASKO — Friends of Donald R. Vasko, who died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, will be received for visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, at Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.

He will be laid to rest with military honors at Grace Church Cemetery in Harmony.
