Robert Zang
Robert Charles Zang, 93, of Gibsonia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Born Oct. 11, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Margaret (Rech) Zang.
Bob greatly enjoyed his time spent outdoors, especially on his family’s farm. He loved the lifestyle of a farmer, in particular tending to and caring for the animals on the family farm.
Bob bravely served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954, part of Company “C” — 44th Armored Infantry Battalion. The majority of his service he was stationed near Seoul, South Korea. He was also a stock market enthusiast.
Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Bernadette Burkhart Sutter; his four children, Karen A. Cox, Robert C. (Donna) Zang Jr., Joyce (Rick) Beahm and Amy S. Zang; his six stepchildren, Paul (Susan) Sutter, James (Beth) Sutter, Thomas Sutter, David (Lisa) Sutter, Kenny Sutter and Cynthia Sutter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean E. Zang; and his sister, Lorraine A. Zang.
