Police reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Adams Twp

May 27 — Ethan W. Thompson, 24, of Mars, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol following a May 27 traffic stop. Police said Thompson had a blood alcohol content of 0.171%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

May 28 — Leigh A. Shankel, 39, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a May 27 traffic stop. Police said Shankel showed signs of impairment but refused a chemical blood test.

Cranberry Twp

May 29 — Trisha M. Narkum, 39, of Girard, Ohio, was charged with misdemeanor controlled substance possession following a May 28 incident. Police said Narkum had a small glass vial of crack cocaine.

May 30 — Cary Johnson III, 28, of Philadelphia, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of retail theft and receiving stolen property following a May 29 incident. Police said Johnson attempted to steal $869.51 in merchandise from a store.

Lancaster Twp

May 29 — Anastasia E. Smith, 21, of New Brighton, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a May 17 crash. Police said Smith had a blood alcohol content of 0.231%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

State police, Butler

May 29 — Lucas J. Hentschel, 24, of Mars, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an April 29 traffic stop in Adams Township. Police said Hentschel had a blood alcohol content of 0.097%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

June 1 — Police investigated a theft of $4,551.40 from a woman’s CashApp account in Brady Township.

June 3 — Police investigated a theft of $2,600 after an unauthorized person reportedly opened a West Penn Power account in a man’s name resulting in him receiving bills in Winfield Township.

State police, Gibsonia, Turnpike

May 29 — Raul R. Magana, 37, of Chambersburg, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a March 16 crash on Interstate 76 in Cranberry Township. Police said Ruiz Magana had a blood alcohol content of greater than 0.3%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
