Meet the graduates of Allegheny-Clarion Valley Junior/Senior High School
Allegheny-Clarion Valley Junior/Senior High School graduation was at 7 p.m. May 28 at the school’s campus. The welcome address was given by the salutatorian Alivya Ann Hartzell, and the valedictorian address by valedictorian Cora Elizabeth Weigle. The acceptace was also given by Cora, who was class president.
Cora is the daughter of Mike and Julie Weigle, of Parker. In her time at A-C Valley, Cora was president of the 4-H Electrotechs, class president, vice president of National Honor Society, drum major of the Union/A-C Valley marching band, secretary of the prom committee and participated in the spring musical. Her senior awards include student of the week, student of the month, the Principal’s List and Murphy’s Music Award. Following graduation, Cora plans to major in neuroscience at East Carolina University, with aspirations to become a neurological physician assistant.
Alivya is the daughter of Alex and Amy Hartzell, of Emlenton. In her time at A-C Valley, Alivya was involved in Venango County 4-H, was student council president, chief of the science officers program and was in National Honor Society. Her senior awards include Principal’s List, honor roll, 2024 homecoming queen, student of the week and student of the month. Following graduation, Alivya plans to study agriculture at Penn State University, with aspirations to be certified in butchering and to start a barbershop.
