Megan Mappin
Megan M. Mappin, 23, of Mars, passed away Monday afternoon, May 26, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 5, 2001, she was the daughter of Donald E. and Darlene A. Garritano Mappin Jr.
Megan graduated from Mars High School in 2019 and from Pitt Business School in 2023, with honors at the top of her class. She was a member of Delta Sigma Pi.
After graduation Megan accepted a position with PNC Corporate in downtown Pittsburgh to go through an 18-month training program and moved to the strip district. In March of this year, she was offered and accepted a position to work in business card — product and development.
Megan was an organ donor. The family is honored and proud to share that so far, she has helped three patients in need of organ transplants.
Megan was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township, where she received her sacraments of baptism, Communion and confirmation.
Surviving are her parents, Donald and Darlene Mappin of Mars; two sisters, Lisa Mappin and Morgan Mappin, both of Mars; her paternal grandparents, Donald and Rita DiFonzo Mappin of New Kensington; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
MAPPIN — Friends of Megan M. Mappin, who died Monday, May 26, 2025, will be received from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with Father Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
