Walter H. Sell Jr., 80, of Worthington, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Feb. 3, 1945, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Walter H. Sell and Doris Singer Sell.

Walt served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam as an airplane mechanic. Upon coming home he became a flight instructor, and trained many pilots through the years at the Butler Airport and the McVille Airport. He enjoyed training the pilots and usually could be found hanging around the airport.

Surviving are his brother, Roger (Debbie) Sell of Cabot; his niece, Alethea (Brian) Myers; his nephew, Vincent Sell. He was great-uncle to Thaddaus, Andrew and Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

SELL — Private services with military honors for Walter H. Sell Jr., who died Tuesday, May 27, 2025, will be held at the Lawn Haven Cemetery in Worthington.
