Concordia chairman to ride bike through mountains for charity
Jim Wolf, chairman of the board of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is going the extra mile — 25 of them — to raise funds for seniors in need in his organization.
Wolf has announced that he will ride 25 miles through the mountains of Western Pennsylvania this August to raise $10,000 for Concordia’s Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, which provides a financial cushion for residents of Concordia facilities who are still in need of assistance.
The announcement was made in advance of World Bicycle Day on June 3.
This isn’t the first time that Wolf has taken on an extreme physical challenge for a cause. In 2012, Wolf climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for Concordia’ orphan support program in Kenya.
Contributions can be made to the Good Samaritan Fund online at Give.ConcordiaLM.org.
