Parker man charged with threatening to pistol-whip, kill a man on Memorial Day

A Parker man is accused of threatening to pistol-whip and kill a man Monday, May 26, in Parker Township.

Darius James Davis, 27, was charged Tuesday with one misdemeanor count each of simple assault, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct following the alleged incident.

Police said they were dispatched for reports of a man on a motorcycle yelling threats at residents on East Eldorado Road. Police said an argument ensued between Davis and a resident before Davis left and later returned with a black Taurus G3 9mm handgun.

Police said a resident saw Davis unload the firearm and take rounds out of the magazine.

Davis admitted to having the gun when interviewed by police, and the handgun, magazine, ammunition and holster were seized.

Davis’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, before District Judge Lewis Stoughton. He’s being held in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
