Cloyde ‘Lee’ Emrick

Cloyde Leroy “Lee” Emrick, 85, of Williams, Calif., passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, with his immediate family by his side.

Born on March 26, 1940, in Rochester, Pa., Lee was the son of the late Cloyde and Lillian Emrick.

He graduated from Ambridge High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State University. His professional life was marked by dedication and service to public water management across California. From 1973 to 1979, he worked for the Los Angeles Flood Control District. He then joined the Shasta County Water District until 1982, before dedicating over two decades to the Colusa County Water District, where he remained until his retirement in 2005. A licensed professional engineer in California throughout his life, Lee took pride in his work and contributions to infrastructure and community well-being.

Lee made Williams his home for 43 years and was an active member of the community. He was involved with Kiwanis for many years and was widely known and respected throughout the area.

Outside of work, Lee embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed scuba diving, hunting, fishing, boating, bowling, traveling and practicing karate, pursuits that brought him joy and connection with others.

He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Cottrell; son-in-law, Mason Cottrell; grandson, Benjamin Adair; stepgranddaughter, Kayla Cottrell; stepgrandson, Michael Cottrell; and stepgreat-granddaughter, Nova Parker.

Lee was preceded in death by his first wife, Jo Ann Emrick; second wife, Karen Emrick; and his parents.

EMRICK — Services for Cloyde Leroy “Lee” Emrick, who died Tuesday, April 29, 2025, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, at West Sunbury Union Cemetery in West Sunbury.
