Vogel

Bernadette “Bernie” Vogel, 82, of Mars, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2025, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 12, 1943, she was the daughter of Henry Wagner and Elizabeth Berthold Wagner Shaw, and stepdaughter of the late Harrison Shaw.

Bernie had been a beautician working at Carol's Headquarters.

She was a member of South Butler Assembly of God, where she was active in church activities.

She was a member of the Mars VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Richard P. Vogel, whom she married May 12, 1972; son, Frank Golla (Bonnie) of Mars; daughter-in-law, Linda Golla of Gibsonia; grandchildren, Ashley, James III (Dana) and Lyndsey; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Eben, Lucas and Sophi; and two sisters, Doreen Lager of Saxonburg and Georgian Coldwell (Harold) of Knox.

She was preceded in death by a son, James T. Golla; her brother, Harrison “Chick” Shaw; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Shaw.

VOGEL — Friends of Bernadette “Bernie” Vogel, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 23, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at the funeral home, with Dr. James Golla III, her grandson, officiating.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to South Butler Assembly of God.
