The VA Butler Healthcare System will host a Veteran Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 31, at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center, 353 North Duffy Road, Center Township.

The event is open to all veterans, service members, families and caregivers and will feature a “Welcome Home” tribute for Vietnam veterans and their families.

It will include door prize drawings, family-friendly activities, firetruck exploration, food, a car cruise and music from 97.7 FM, The Rock.

Attendees also can access information on VA services like the PACT Act, Caregiver Support and Women Veterans Program, and speak with staff from the Veteran Benefits Administration and National Cemetery Administration.

Veterans not yet enrolled in VA health care are encouraged to bring their DD-214 and meet with enrollment staff.
