Man hit on Great Belt Road flown to UPMC Presby
A 22 year-old male was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after being hit by a a vehicle in Jefferson Township.
According to the Butler County dispatch center, Saxonburg EMS responded after a man was found laying on the road after being hit by a vehicle while on a scooter. The incident occurred near 142 Great Belt Road around 8 a.m. Saturday, May 17.
A Medevac helicopter flew in to transport the man to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh about an hour after dispatchers received the call. The helicopter had to land at the Jefferson Township Building just across the street.
No update was available on the man’s status as of 2:30 p.m.
