Ricky Overly
Ricky A. Overly, 63, of Clay Township, Butler, passed away early Thursday morning, May 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by his beautiful and beloved wife and daughter, following a brief illness.
Born Sept. 16, 1961, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., to the late Dempsey Sr. and Virginia Krepps Overly.
He married the love of his life, Rebecca A. Bequeath, on Feb. 8, 1986. She survives.
Rick was a retired painter from the county of Butler. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything. He was an avid collector of all things vintage. He especially enjoyed restoring old gas pumps. Rick’s greatest pride and joy by far was his family. His daughter, Racheal was the center of his world starting the day she was born, that is until she gave him a grandson, who shares in his love for all things tractors and motors.
Rick is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rebecca; his daughter, Racheal Overly (Mark) of Butler and grandson, Alex; six siblings, Deborah Campbell, Dean Overly, Donna Mitchell, Brian (Valerie) Overly, Marcy (Michael) Thomas and Shawn (Tanya) Overly; sister-in-law, Sherry; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dempsey Jr., Dennis and Douglas Overly.
