William ‘Pickle’ Dellich Jr.

Dellich

William K. “Pickle” Dellich Jr., 69, of West Sunbury, peacefully passed away the morning of Monday, May 12, 2025, at his home after battling a long illness.

Born Oct. 28, 1955, in Grove City, he was the son of the late William K. Dellich Sr. and Shirley (Hoff) Dellich.

Bill was a member of Butler Masonic Lodge No. 272 and longtime member of the National Rifle Association. He was employed at the US Steel sintering plant until its closing. He then became the dedicated owner operator of Dellich Excavating, proudly working alongside his sons.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Amy (Caporali) Dellich, whom he married Sept. 10, 1983; one son, Heath (Brandy Gillen) of West Sunbury; and five grandchildren, three of whom he and Amy adopted and are raising, Mary Jane, Lily Jean and William K. Dellich IV, as well as Jackson and Emerson. He also is survived by his sisters, Chris (Doug) McKinney of West Sunbury, Marilyn (Richard “Gus”) Thompson of Eau Claire and Tricia Beach of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his son, William K. Dellich III.

DELLICH — Visitation for William K. “Pickle” Dellich Jr., who died Monday, May 12, 2025, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at his Dellich Excavating Garage, 201 Findlay Road, West Sunbury.

Services and burial will be held privately for his family.

The Young family of WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, has assisted the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the children’s future.
