A Cranberry Township man is accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Cranberry Township, Butler County detectives said.

Anthony Edwards-Hickman, 18, was charged with one felony count each of aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16, unlawful contact with a minor and misdemeanor corruption of minors related to alleged incidents that took place between Sept. 9 and 14.

Police said Edwards-Hickman placed a 14-year-old girl’s hand in an inappropriate area and asked her to engage in sexual activity. Police said Edwards-Hickman and the girl were later at her residence when he touched her inappropriately.

In another instance, police said the girl fell asleep on the couch and awoke to Edwards-Hickman touching her inappropriately. Police said Edwards-Hickman admitted to inappropriately touching the girl, but did not know she fell asleep.

Edwards-Hickman’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 30 before District Judge Kevin Flaherty.
