Aubrey Rock now owns Butler High School’s all-time record in the girls long jump after leaping 19 feet, 2.25 inches at the WPIAL’s Last Chance Meet in West Mifflin on Friday.

The meet gives athletes one final chance to either qualify for the WPIAL Championships or better their seed.

Rock’s effort topped the previous record of 18-4 set in 1999 by Annessa Schnur. It’s the all-time Butler County record, surpassing A-C Valley senior Hannah Ithen’s mark of 18-10.5 set in 2024.

Also placing first for the Golden Tornado girls was Lyla Bowden in the 400-meter run with a time of 1 minute, .62 seconds, and Evie Paserba in the pole vault (10-1).

Butler’s boys received a season-best effort of 14 feet in the pole vault from Jason Wick, who won the event.

Jace Gratzmiller won the 400 with a finish of 50.25.
