WPIAL softball brackets 2025: Knoch, Seneca Valley, North Catholic matchups, sites, times, tickets

SV softball (15-3) secured the No. 2 seed in the WPIAL Class 6A tournament, earning a bye into the semifinals at a site and time to be determined.
The WPIAL announced the full brackets Thursday afternoon. Knoch earned the third seed in Class 4A, which comes with a first-round bye. And North Catholic gives Butler County a third district qualifier, earning the 13th seed in 4A.
For Hames, a Clemson commit and one of the top pitchers in the country, and the Raiders, it is the last time this group can attempt to win a WPIAL title and its first PIAA championship. The Raiders, who have made two state championship appearances (2022, 1992), must win the district to secure its only state tournament berth.
Seneca Valley beat Norwin 4-3 in eight innings last year for WPIAL gold, its second in three years.
Knoch (17-3), searching for its first WPIAL crown, will face the winner of No. 11 Belle Vernon vs. No. 6 Beaver in a quarterfinal at a site and time to be determined. North Catholic (8-8), on the other side of the bracket, takes on No. 4 West Mifflin on Monday at Montour High School.
All championship games will be held at California (Pa.) University’s Lilley Field May 28-29.
Tickets for all games through the semifinals can be purchased online at gofan.co/WPIAL for $7 for adults, $5 for students. Tickets purchased at the gate are $7. Tickets for the consolation and championship games cost $10.
