Kathryn Montag, 96, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Oct. 28, 1928, in Winfield Township, she was the daughter of Victor Rummel and Edna Lang Rummel.

Kathryn had worked as a secretary for the South Butler County School District. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she loved serving her Lord through ministries at the church. She was faithful in her Bible studies. Hospitality was her spiritual gift and ministry, she never turned away anyone in need. She enjoyed gardening, herbs, crafts and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Wayne (Bambi) Montag of Henderson, Nev., Gail (Steve) Healy of Manlius, N.Y., Eric (Debbie) Montag of Gilbert, Ariz. and Curt (Sara) Montag of Castle Pines, Colo.; two sisters, Delores Wetzel of Cabot and Janet (Chuck) Dobson of Black Mountain, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland Montag, on April 26, 2017; and one brother, Alvin Rummel.

MONTAG — Friends of Kathryn Montag, who died Saturday, May 3, 2025, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Revs. Ben Berteau and Barry Keurulaninen officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot PA 16023.
