Kanye West sues dentist, claims nitrous oxide abuse affected marriage
Kanye West says he became addicted to nitrous oxide, and intends to sue his former dentist for enabling the rapper’s own “unsupervised” use of N2O gas, which Ye says affected his relationship with Bianca Censori.
Lawyers for the 47-year-old “Heartless” rapper sent a notice of intention to sue Dr. Thomas P. Connelly, whose “inappropriate” actions they say caused physical, psychological and financial issues, according to TMZ.
Ye’s attorneys say Connelly “engaged in numerous inappropriate and dangerous practices that were far outside the bounds of any legitimate medical purpose or standard of care,” the outlet reports.
That allegedly includes giving Ye ample amounts of the gas for nonmedical purposes, as well as enabling and encouraging him to self-administer nitrous — or charging West for it — even as the rapper displayed “adverse neurological and behavioral signs,” including dependency on the gas. This allegedly affected Ye’s ability to provide companionship to wife Censori, from whom he reportedly split earlier this year.
Ye’s lawyers claim Connelly started treating the Yeezy designer in early 2024, but upon seeing said dependency, stopped treating the Grammy winner “without a proper transition,” according to TMZ.
Back in August, Connelly denied allegations he sold Ye nitrous for recreational use, claims made by the rapper’s former chief of staff, ex-Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, who reportedly parted ways with Ye in May 2024.
Ye’s erratic and offensive behavior, including antisemitic and racist screeds, far predate when he says he became a patient of Connelly’s.
Ye and Censori sparked reconciliation rumors in recent weeks when they spent time together dining out and shopping at a Spanish sex store.
The notice to Connelly comes on the heels of more bizarre behavior from Ye, who last week claimed he and his cousin shared an incestuous relationship as kids.

Tucker Carlson asks Trump to ‘rescue’ Russell Brand on UK rape charge
Right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson wants President Donald Trump to “rescue” Russell Brand from the U.K. court where the comedic actor is charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual assault.
Brand was granted bail Friday after being an 18-month investigation concluded that he sexually abused four women between 1999 and 2005. The 50-year-old entertainer denies any criminal conduct.
According to Carlson, Brand is being wrongly prosecuted because of his opposition to COVID-19 protocols that turned “the UK into a totalitarian state” during the pandemic.
“Russell Brand, whose youngest child is barely a year old, now faces life in prison,” the fired Fox News host posted on X. “He has no shot at a fair trial, because Britain is no longer a free country.”
Carlson wants the British performer to be granted asylum in the U.S. to protect him from going to trial back home.
“Say a prayer that the Trump administration comes to his rescue,” Carlson wrote.
Brand posted video online from a news conference earlier this week when White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked if the president would consider granting asylum to British citizens in a jam.
“I have not heard that proposed to the president, nor have I spoken to him about that idea, but I certainly can talk to our national security team and see if it’s something the administration would entertain,” she replied.
Carlson, 55, was cut loose from Fox News in 2023 after a series of embarrassing texts were made public including one saying he “passionately” hates Trump.
He appears to have since worked his way back into Trump’s good graces. The president said he liked Carlson “a lot” before the 2024 election and claimed he’d consider making the conspiracy theory pushing pundit his running mate.

Blake Lively breaks silence on ‘lowest lows’ of Justin Baldoni legal battle
Blake Lively is breaking her silence on her legal battle with “It Ends With Us” director and co-star Justin Baldoni and the “lowest lows” it has wrought in recent months.
The “Gossip Girl” alum, 37, spoke out on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” early Friday in her first late night interview since accusing Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassment on the film’s set, followed by a retaliatory smear campaign — both of which claims Baldoni denies.
“No surprise, I’ve had a pretty intense year,” Lively said. “And [my kids] are just like my lifeline. No matter what day I’m having, I have to be Disneyland for them. And so it’s like, it’s the best. I mean it’s chaos. But it’s the best.”
Lively shares four kids with husband Ryan Reynolds. The “Deadpool” star, 48, is also named in Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively and her publicist, Leslie Sloane.
Lively said she was thrilled that Meyers, 51, is no longer a Weekend Update anchor on “Saturday Night Live,” as he would be “quite informed” on the particulars of the case, which kicked off in December and is headed to trial next March.
“What I can say without going too into it is that this year has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life,” said Lively. “And I see so many women around, afraid to speak, and especially right now, afraid to share their experiences.”
Lively added that “fear is by design” as it “keeps us silent.
“I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak. So I do feel fortunate that I’ve been able to. And it’s the women who have had the ability to use their voice that’s kept me strong, and, you know, helped me in my belief in my fight for the world to be safe for women and girls. It’s a pretty simple thing,” she said to applause.
Lively first leveled sexual harassment claims against Baldoni in a late December complaint, central to a New York Times article. ““We Can Bury Anyone,” prompted Baldoni to file a $250 million libel lawsuit against the paper as Lively sued him.
In January, in his $400 million lawsuit against Lively’s camp, Baldoni also accused the trio of civil extortion.
