Richard A. Moran, 89, of Valencia, died peacefully at home Friday, May 2, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Lippert) Moran.

Dick was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a boilermaker. He was an active member of Holy Sepulcher Church. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Richard always appreciated being outside — whether it be planting vegetables in his garden or shooting trap and hunting.

He was the beloved husband for 65 years of Patricia D. (Seelnacht) Moran; loving father of Matthew (Brenda) Moran of Butler; brother of Grace Conners, Catherine Plotts and the late Bernard and Paul Moran; proud grandfather of Douglas (Allyson) Moran and Jennifer Krouse; great-grandfather to Adele and Roman Krouse, Ava, Aubrey and Logan Moran.

MORAN — Friends of Richard A. Moran, who died Friday, May 2, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Holy Sepulcher Church, St. Mark Parish.

Interment will follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
