Wimer

Bernadean “Patsy” English Wimer, 90, of Harmony, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Olive (Wimer) English and was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Franklin Township.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas L. Wimer, Steven L. Wimer, Scott A. Wimer of Harmony and Todd W. Wimer; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her niece, Brenda Benton.

Patsy was born in Franklin Township and raised in Slippery Rock. She met and married her late husband, Richard “Dick” Wimer, in 1953 and they were married 46 years. Patsy enjoyed cooking and baking and making jellies. She worked the gate for years at the Portersville Steam Show. She and her family were longtime members of Zion Lutheran Church of Harmony. Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard V. Wimer; and one brother, Clifford English.

WIMER — Friends of Bernadean “Patsy” English Wimer, who died Thursday, May 1, 2025, may call on the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at TURNER-HYDE FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 500 6th St. (6th and Park), Ellwood City.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley officiating.

Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Middle Lancaster Township.
