Armstrong County commissioners seek storm damage reports from residents
The Armstrong County Board of Commissioners is requesting residents submit damage information to their municipal officials as soon as possible.
According to a release by the Armstrong County Department of Public Safety, submitting damage reports will allow municipal officials to assess the full extent of storm damage and allow county officials to determine if they are eligible for disaster relief funds.
The department said it and the commissioners are working with utility companies and PennDOT to restore transportation routes and utilities, and reports will help responders pinpoint areas still without service.
FirstEnergy predicts 12,788 customers currently without power will have it restored by 3 p.m. Monday.
Any questions concerning damage to property should be directed to the appropriate municipal officials for more information, the release said.
