She was born Oct. 29, 1926, to the late Roy McKissick and Martha (Reynolds) McKissick.
Helen worked for People's United Telephone Company and the Jefferson Street Apartments.
Helen was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
She was an avid dog lover and enjoyed their companionship over the years. Helen loved her recent fur baby, Layla. They had a special bond and Layla will miss her Nana.

Helen is survived by one son, Sammy J. Turner, and his wife, Lorrie. After Helen's husband, Sam's, passing, she lived out her remaining years and made her home with her son and daughter-in-law. Helen also has two grandsons, Travis Turner and his wife, Jeannie, and Cody Turner and his wife, Meagan; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Nadia, Mason, Zachary and Dallas Turner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
