Cynthia A. Princeler, 80, of Connoquenessing, joined her heavenly Father Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Wexford Hospital Hospice. Cynthia died of complications from multiple autoimmune diseases.

Cindy was a beloved wife, mother and valued member of the community. Cindy lived a life full of love and kindness. She was known for her unwavering dedication to family, friends and community.

Born on April 18, 1945, in Laredo, Texas, she demonstrated an exceptional aptitude and interest in mathematics. She earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1967 and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Slippery Rock University in 1980. She taught mathematics at Seneca Valley junior high for three years. Then, she worked at an insurance agency, MAWP Laboratories and Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center as an accountant.

Cindy was an avid gardener, accomplished quilter, musician and traveler, having visited 45 states and six Canadian provinces.

She was deeply involved in the community, volunteering her time and talents to various causes. She was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Evans City where she dedicated countless hours to choir, being treasurer and church council.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Princeler; daughter, Julie (Mark) Horrell; grandson, Lucas (Sarah) Horrell; grandson, Timothy Horrell; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Henry Horrell.

Cindy’s family expresses great thanks to AHN Hospital Hospice Team in Wexford, the Rev. Lisa Griffin, St. John’s pastor, and St. John’s church members and Connoquenessing neighbors for their prayers and support.

PRINCELER — There will be no viewing for Cynthia A. Princeler, who died Thursday, April 24, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. John’s UCC in Evans City for family and church friends, where we will celebrate Cindy’s extraordinary life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Johns UCC, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, PA 16033, or the Butler County Humane Society, reflecting Cindy’s desire to make the world a better place.
