Slippery Rock man charged with threatening women in Mercer Township

A Slippery Rock man is accused of threatening two women and damaging their vehicle in Mercer Township, state police said.

Triston L. Galarza, 27, was charged Wednesday, April 16, with two misdemeanor counts each of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, and one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct related to an April 11 incident.

Police said they were dispatched to the area of Meadow Lane and Crystal Lane for a report of a man punching a woman’s car. Police determined two woman had driven to the residence to retrieve belongings.

Police said Galarza came outside, picked up a two-by-four and hit the women’s rear passenger window before punching the front passenger door leaving a dent. Police said Galarza punched one of the women in the face, damaging her glasses, and threatened to put them both “in the ground.”

Galarza’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
