Herman ‘Buzz’ Kuminkoski Jr.
Herman S. “Buzz” Kuminkoski Jr., 80, of Butler, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Butler, to the late Herman S. Kuminkoski Sr. and Betty C. (Dietrich) Kuminkoski.
Buzz graduated from Butler High School. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. Buzz also graduated from Grove City College and was an electrical engineer for General Dynamics. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. Above all, Buzz loved his family and his dog, Bentley.
He is survived by son, Richard (Lara) Kuminkoski; daughters, Dionne (John) DeMarines, Danielle (Nathan) Myers and Christine (John) Brunette; stepdaughter, Rhonda Wabe; grandchildren, Jonathan (Lauren) Kurtz, Nathan (Angel) Kurtz, Emmy Myers, Collin (Emily) Myers, Kyle (Victoria) Kuminkoski, Chloe Kuminkoski, Bella Kuminkoski, Bailey Lewis, Mikayla Wabe, Casey (Jeremy) Watterson, Rylee (Nick Gentry) Brunette and Jared (Destiny) Brunette; and great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Chase, Carter, Logan, Jack, Reece, Nora, Kane, Vance and Harper. Also surviving is his first wife and longtime friend, Florence Winters; one sister, Ardella Sincock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by spouse, Rosemarie S. Kuminkoski; stepson, Jason Hamder; brother, James (Rose) Kuminkoski; niece, Heather Sincock; and nephew, Phillip Kuminkoski.
KUMINKOSKI — A visitation for Herman S. “Buzz” Kuminkoski Jr., who died Saturday, March 29, 2025, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the funeral home, with Pastor Alex DeRosa, from New Life Christian Ministries, officiating.
A committal service and entombment will be held at Calvary Cemetery with military honors to follow.
