First Commonwealth Bank announced it has named Michael Cirilli its new chief compliance officer.

Cirilli’s appointment fills the position previously held by Linda Metzmaier, who was promoted to chief risk officer in January.

He brings experience to First Commonwealth, as he has spent nearly 18 years in the financial services industry. The past nine years he served as a senior compliance examiner at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

A resident of the South Hills in Pittsburgh, Cirilli graduated magna cum laude from Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in economics.
