Bergbigler

Thomas “Berky” Bergbigler Sr., 76, of Lyndora, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He was born in Butler on Oct. 2, 1948, and was the son to the late Grace (Osche) Bergbigler.

Thomas honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970. He retired from the meat department at Friedman's Supermarket after 30 years. Thomas loved to go camping and was an avid hunter. He was a member of the American Legion Post 117, Butler Moose Lodge 64, the VFW of Ridgway and the Veterans Club of Marienville, Pa.

Thomas was the beloved partner of Mary Plunkard for over 30 years; father of Aaron (Sarah) and Shellie Bergbigler; brother of Robert Osche; grandfather of eight; and great-grandfather of two.

Along with his mother, Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Bergbigler Jr.; and his brother, Jeffrey Bergbigler.

BERGBIGLER — All services for Thomas “Berky” Bergbigler Sr., who died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
