Booher

John R. Booher, 82, of Sarver, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 20, 1942, in New Kensington, he was the son of Charles Booher and Mary F. Early Booher.

John was a member of the Pipeliners Local Union 798, traveling all over the country for work. He was especially proud of working on the Alaskan Pipeline. He enjoyed fixing things, especially restoring tractors and showing them.

Surviving are his son, Jeffrey (Carrie) Booher of Sarver, three daughters, Joyce (Robert III) Porter of Centerville, Ind., Joanne (Steve) Salvatora of Gibsonia and Jessica (Robert) Eury of Butler; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Nickolas, Katelynn, Megan, Steffany and Aubrey; eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Brooklyn, Kendall, Paisley, Weston, Madilyn, James and Haylin; and his longtime companion, Roxanne Freehling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Catherine Booher.

BOOHER — Friends of John R. Booher, who died Thursday, March 6, 2025, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at the funeral home, with Bishop Alan J. Ion officiating.

Interment will follow in Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
